The rules and guidelines for using Choreopass

Acceptance

Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Choreopass ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Choreopass. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time with 30 days' notice.

User accounts

Account Creation

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
  • Users under 13 require verifiable parental consent
  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You may not share your account credentials

Account Roles

  • Dancers: Purchase and learn routines
  • Choreographers: Create and sell dance routines

Content Upload Requirements

By uploading content to Choreopass, you represent and warrant that:

  • You own all rights to the choreography and video content
  • You have permission to use any music in the video
  • The content does not infringe on any third-party rights
  • The content complies with YouTube's Terms of Service
  • The content is appropriate for all ages (or properly age-gated)

Revenue Sharing

  • Choreopass takes a 15% platform fee on all sales
  • Choreographers receive 85% of each routine purchase
  • Payouts are processed weekly via Stripe Connect
  • Minimum payout threshold: $25
  • Choreographers are responsible for their own taxes

Copyright Declaration

You must confirm that you have the rights to all content uploaded. Making false declarations may result in account termination and legal action.

Affiliate Program

Choreographers may participate in our affiliate program to earn commissions by referring new users. If you participate in the affiliate program, you must comply with our Affiliate Program Terms, which include rules about self-referrals, promotional guidelines, commission structure, and payment terms.

Payments

Purchases and payments

Payment Processing

  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated
  • Applicable taxes will be calculated at checkout
  • We accept major credit cards and debit cards

Routine Purchases

  • One-time purchases grant lifetime access to that routine
  • Purchases are non-transferable between accounts
  • Access may be revoked if Terms are violated

Refund Policy

  • 7-day refund window from date of purchase
  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method
  • Excessive refund requests may result in account suspension

Content

Content policy and conduct

Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited:

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic material
  • Violence, gore, or disturbing imagery
  • Hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
  • Copyright infringement or piracy
  • Spam, scams, or fraudulent activity
  • Dangerous or illegal activities

User Conduct

Users must not:

  • Impersonate others or provide false information
  • Abuse, harass, or threaten other users
  • Attempt to hack, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Platform
  • Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Create multiple accounts to evade bans
  • Share account access with others

IP

Intellectual property

Platform Ownership

Choreopass owns all rights to the platform software, design, logos, and trademarks. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without written permission.

User Content License

By uploading content, you grant Choreopass a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to:

  • Display and distribute your content on the Platform
  • Create thumbnails and promotional materials
  • Use content for marketing purposes (with attribution)

You retain full ownership of your original content.

DMCA Compliance

We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content infringes your copyright, you can submit a takedown request:

Your request must include:

  • Description of the copyrighted work
  • URL of the infringing content
  • Your contact information
  • Statement of good faith belief
  • Electronic signature

Privacy

Privacy and data

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using Choreopass, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Accuracy or completeness of content
  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Security from unauthorized access

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHOREOPASS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or revenue
  • Damages exceeding the amount paid to Choreopass in the past 12 months

Physical Activity Disclaimer

WARNING: Dance and physical activity carries inherent risks. Consult a physician before beginning any exercise program. Choreopass is not liable for injuries sustained while using our platform.

Termination

Termination

Termination by You

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion:

  • Your personal data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy
  • You will lose access to purchased content

Termination by Choreopass

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

  • Violate these Terms or our policies
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Upload prohibited content
  • Abuse or harass other users

Disputes

Dispute resolution

Arbitration Agreement

Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except:

  • Small claims court actions (under $10,000)
  • Intellectual property disputes
  • Injunctive relief requests

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes individually and waive the right to participate in class actions or collective arbitration.

Miscellaneous

Miscellaneous provisions

  • Governing Law: These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California
  • Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the rest remains in effect
  • No Waiver: Failure to enforce a right does not waive that right
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them freely
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement
