Choreopass is built on the belief that dance is for everyone. Our community thrives when every member feels safe, respected, and inspired to learn and grow. These guidelines help us maintain a positive environment for all users.

Be Respectful

Treat others with kindness

  • Be supportive and encouraging to fellow dancers
  • Offer constructive feedback, not criticism
  • Celebrate others' progress and achievements
  • Respect different skill levels and learning paces

No harassment or bullying

  • Zero tolerance for hate speech, discrimination, or prejudice
  • No personal attacks, insults, or derogatory comments
  • Respect people's identities, pronouns, and backgrounds
  • No unwanted sexual advances or inappropriate content

Content Standards

Choreographers

  • Only upload content you have the rights to share
  • Provide accurate age ratings for your routines
  • Ensure video quality is clear and easy to follow
  • Use appropriate language in descriptions and notes
  • Respect copyright laws and YouTube's terms of service
  • No misleading titles, thumbnails, or descriptions

Comments & Reviews

  • Keep feedback constructive and helpful
  • No spam, promotional content, or external links
  • Be honest in ratings and reviews
  • Avoid profanity and inappropriate language
  • Stay on-topic and relevant to the routine

Age-Appropriate Content

Content Ratings

  • All Ages: Suitable for everyone, including young children
  • 13+: May contain themes more suitable for teens
  • 16+: May contain mature themes or complex choreography
  • 18+: For adults only

Parents can control content visibility through the Parent Dashboard.

Prohibited Content

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • Illegal activities or content that violates laws
  • Violence, gore, or graphic content
  • Sexually explicit or pornographic material
  • Content promoting self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders
  • Promotion of drugs, alcohol, or dangerous substances
  • Impersonation of others or creating fake accounts
  • Doxxing or sharing private information without consent
  • Coordinated harassment or brigading
  • Scams, fraud, or deceptive practices

Intellectual Property

Respect copyright and intellectual property rights:

  • Only use music and videos you have permission to share
  • Give credit to original choreographers when appropriate
  • Don't copy or plagiarize others' work
  • Report copyright violations through our DMCA takedown form

Reporting Violations

If you see content or behavior that violates these guidelines:

How to Report

  1. Click the "Report" or "Flag" button on the content
  2. Select the type of violation
  3. Provide additional context if helpful
  4. Submit your report

Our moderation team reviews all reports within 24-48 hours. Reports are anonymous and taken seriously.

Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in:

First Violation

Warning and content removal

Repeated Violations

Temporary suspension (24 hours to 7 days)

Severe or Persistent Violations

Permanent account termination

We reserve the right to take action without warning for severe violations such as illegal content, harassment, or threats.

Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was actioned in error:

  • Email us at appeals@choreopass.com
  • Include your username and the content in question
  • Explain why you believe the action was incorrect
  • Allow 3-5 business days for review

Updates to Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines as our platform evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email and a notice on the platform. Continued use of Choreopass constitutes acceptance of the updated guidelines.
